Confiscation Proceedings

If you face confiscation proceedings which are related to an on going criminal case in which you are a defendant, then our solicitor dealing with your case will be able to advise you. However confiscation proceedings can be independent of any criminal proceeding and we have a specialist solicitor who deals with these types of cases exclusively.

Our Trade Union Department is based in our Ealing office and is headed by Chris Humphreys

This department offers specialist advice to union members on criminal matters, which can range from representation at a Police Station to attendance at Court.

For a working person an allegation of a criminal offence can lead to suspension from employment or even dismissal in addition to any criminal sanction which may be imposed. This can happen regardless of whether the alleged offence occurred whilst you were working at the time. A criminal record may not only affect your current employment and career but future job prospects.

Chris Humphreys has led teams representing fire brigade and railway union members involved in the major enquiries which have followed the disasters at Lambrigg in Cumbria and Atherstone-on-Stour in South Warwickshire

Chris has recently represented a US pilot who admitted to being over the legal alcohol limit, click here

A civil Action against the police may be possible in the following circumstances :
