Sue Davies and Anna Norton-Taylor are immensely experienced advisors who have both managed Citizen Advice Bureaux. In this ever more complex area they provide a service second to none. They are overwhelmed with demand and that demand is exacerbated by so many suppliers giving up this unpopular and difficult work. Complex casework in this area, like so much of Legal Aid, remains grossly under-rewarded.


Many of our clients present with severe trauma, having been the victims of civil war, torture and rape and have often lost family members.


The common difficulties our clients face revolve around housing benefit, income support and disability living allowance claims and appeals.

We regret that due to the fact that the demand for this advice far exceeds the service we are able to provide, we are not able to take all of the cases that are referred to us.
