Our Trade Union Department is based at our Ealing Office and is headed by Chris Humphreys.
This department offers specialist advice to union members on criminal matters, which can range from representation at a police station to representation at court.
For a working person an allegation of a criminal offence can lead to suspension from employment or even dismissal in addition to any criminal sanction which may be imposed. This can happen regardless of whether the alleged offence occurred at work. A criminal record may not only affect the individual's employment status but also their future job prospects.
Chris Humphreys has led teams representing rail workers, fire fighters and pilots, to mention a few. The Department also acts for several American Unions whose members visit or work in the UK as cabin crew and pilots and come into contact with the legal system.
