A brilliant result!

A brilliant result in a Proceeds of Crime (POCA) case where the prosecution alleged our client had hidden assets. This client of Greg Powell had pleaded guilty to conspiracy to import and supply Class A drugs. After 4 years of post sentence POCA litigation in this complex case, the result at Wood Green Crown Court was that the Judge could not be satisfied that the client had any hidden assets and the final order was to pay £1. In the Judge's remarks comment was made that the client had the benefit of representation by excellent solicitors.
The result reflected a huge amount of work and repeated challenges to the Crown over disclosure issues.
Thanks to Hugo Lodge and Katherine Higgs of 2 Bedford Row Chambers who represented the client.
